LAYJET - We lay the future!
A technology by and for road building experts
The launch of the new LAYJET technology in 2017 disrupted the world of fibre optic cable laying. Never before has laying fibre optic conduits in the road shoulder been as quick, cost effective and damage preventing. The LAYJET technology was developed by road building experts in cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology and Graz University of Technology with scientific oversight and additional testing performed by the Technical University of Munich. In the meantime, several thousand kilometres of conduit were successfully laid in Austria and Germany. Since 2020, this technology has been anchored as an alternative laying method in the Austrian Set of Standards for Road Building (RVS 03.08.12). Today, the LAYJET method is considered a revolution in fibre optic roll out and is used as a standard method by the Major Players in the telecommunications industry“ of the fibre optic industry. In 2023 this technology was included in the German DIN 18220 as an alternative method for laying fibre optic conduits in road shoulders.
Planning and execution from a single source!
LAYJET technology is ideally suited for the expansion of backbone routes and access routes outside densly populated areas. LAYJET’s in-house planning department creates the ideal line structure for LAYJET routes ready for construction on the basis of the high level designs supplied by the customer. After approval the project is expertly implemented by the trained LAYJET civil engineering troops. In the end, a calibrated and
pressure-tested conduit network is handed over to the customer.
